Worked today, again (working 6 days this week, great). Came home. Took a shower and had lunch. Mum and I were watching Oprah on tv. Oprah was talking to this lady - her ex-boyfriend have planned her rape online. I won't go into the details, but what I'll mention is that her ex had obtained a photo of her from her MySpace account and posted it on this website to get people to rape her for him.
The main point is: after seeing that, my mum started lecturing me about how I shouldn't post photos up of myself or any personal information on the internet.
My Facebook is set on private and I don't have a real photo of myself for my profile picture. So people who are not my Facebook friends won't really be able to know either of those things about me that my mum is so afraid about. I've also started making sure that I know the person before adding them. So Facebook is fine, I guess.
But wait till she sees this blog...

Thank goodness she doesn't know that I have a blog.
Like a normal teenager, when my mum first showed signs that her "lecture" was about to begin, I was all defensive and began to say ridiculous things like "Why don't you just ban me from sending photos off to be printed, HUH? They will have a copy of the photos and can do whatever they want with them."
But now I had more time to think about it, she's right. (shock horror)
My blog is public. Anyone could be reading this blog right now and I have no control over it. Do I really want strangers to know about my personal life?
Having a public blog is like me walking up to a complete stranger and starting being all BFF with them. They could easily return the friendliness, offer to walk me home and then shoot me. Or they won't shoot me, but then later stalk me and then shoot me. Or when we are hanging out and I want to use the ladies room, they will then steal my credit card, steal my money and then shoot me.
Just kidding.
I'm just a mere blogger. You don't see famous bloggers getting shot at, so I should be fine for now.
But...
(DUNDUNDUN! The time has come to reveal the phase that every blogger goes through at least once - in my case, at least ten times)
Maybe I should close my blog.
I really don't think I should keep wasting hours writing up a blog entry every time. The time will be better spent designing or reading a book or heck, even chores. Or risk getting shot at.
But I love blogging. I love being able to express myself by posting up photos and write about my thoughts or little rants about my life. ARGHHHHH I DON'T KNOW !@#$%^&*
